Purchased some of these recently to replace the stocker's which we all know are not the best.
I went ahead and bought the Vertigo triple pad set up, first thing I thought when I took them out the packet is,
'these are rock hard, how are they going to stop the baja?' compared to the soft stocker's, hard pads against hard discs
Well, went ahead and fitted them, all seemed well on installation, one thing I did notice is the brake hub bolt is not covered by the discs anymore.
With the stock setup, the 3 discs cover the bolt, and reduces the chance of it popping out, and with the Vertigo pads you have to remove the center ninja disc as i call it.
Having a 3rd pad, this separates the outer discs.
To prevent the bolt from working it's way out I used a small amount of blue threadlock.
Installation was easy, took around half hour, no need to remove the top tranny plate, a little bit of persuasion and you can lift it and slide the discs on an off over the hub.
Conclusion: these things lock up big time, I have the Yamadude linkage and no adjustments were necessary, although I did make adjustments on my EPA's as brakes lock up with just a touch of the brake on the TX, so I adjusted it to around half travel.
Talk about lockup though, these things rock !
